Facial Rejuvenation Treatments
Whether to enhance or reshape your facial features or to combat the ageing process, non-surgical aesthetic treatments are fast growing in popularity and Mr Juling Ong can offer his patients Anti-Wrinkle Injections or Dermal Fillers.
He combines his experience and skill as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon to produce optimal results, while always ensuring patient safety.
Anti-Wrinkle Injections and Dermal Fillers can be used to reshape the face, enhance the lips or even can be used to provide a Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty, by smoothing bumps or improving the projection of the nose. They are also used to target many ageing changes we see in the face as our skin loses elasticity, volume is lost, and wrinkles start to appear around the lips, eyes and across the forehead. As facial tissues start to sag, we see the cheeks flatten, folds appear between the nose and mouth and the corners of mouth start to turn downwards.
Facial cosmetic surgery, such as facelifts, brow lifts or eyelid lifts, is a very effective way to rejuvenate the face and target many facial ageing changes, but for men and women who are not yet ready for surgery or may not be a suitable candidate, non-surgical aesthetic procedures can produce a more youthful and pleasing appearance to the face. Mr Juling Ong will often advise combining facial cosmetic surgery with non-surgical aesthetic procedures to produce the optimal outcome.
Frequently Asked Questions
What can Anti-Wrinkle Injections do?
Dynamic wrinkles are formed by the constant contraction and relaxation of the underlying facial muscles as we make facial expression and they commonly form around the eyes in the form of crows’ feet and across the forehead or between the eyebrows. Anti-Wrinkle Injections are composed of Botulinum toxin, a neurotoxin that can temporarily reduce the action of these muscles and the wrinkles become smoother and softer as a result.
Mr Juling Ong aim is always to make the patient look more refreshed and rested without removing natural expression.
What can Dermal Fillers do?
Mr Juling Ong uses the gold standard of dermal filler products, which are composed of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring component of the skin, and which have excellent safety records. When injected, they can fill a deep fold or wrinkle and plump up the skin, as well as add fullness to the lips and cheeks.
Are there any risks to Non-Surgical Aesthetic Treatments?
Although they are deemed non-surgical and minimally invasive, this doesn’t mean that these treatments are risk-free. There may be some temporary bruising and swelling at the injection site. Risks of botulinum toxin are rare but can include drooping of the eyelid muscles, which should resolve itself within a few weeks.
Also, to ensure the best results possible, it is essential to undergo treatment with a medical practitioner that has the skill and experience to ensure your safety as well as produce results that you are happy with. Mr Juling Ong is a consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon who specialises in facial surgery.
How long will my results last?
You should start to see a gradual softening of lines treated with Anti-Wrinkle Injections after three to five days. Results of your Dermal Filler treatment are immediate although there may be some temporary swelling that affects your results.
Both of these treatments are temporary. Botulinum toxin typically lasts three to six months and Dermal Fillers can last from nine to 18 months, depending on where they are injected. Both treatments are safe to be repeated when you feel you need a top-up.
During your consultation, Mr Juling Ong will explain all potential risks and discuss your treatment options in full. Please call us on 020 7927 6528 or email us at info@julingong.com to arrange an appointment.
